So you have put your family tree together with the help of your known family & various research on the web & in record offices & libraries.

But what now? well if you want to further your thirst for knowledge & photographs then it's time to look beyond your known family. Most people when doing the family tree will become aware of companies such as Genes Reunited.

However when compiling my own family tree I found that after a while I had exhausted any possible contacts through such online services & had to think out of the box. Just because you cannot find any living relatives on such internet websites does not mean that you don't have living relatives.

It could simply mean that nobody in your family is researching apart from you. So it's then that you have to take a different approach to your research, and this is something that I have done in the case of both my paternal & maternal lines.

Over the years I have met a number of extended family members & received some wonderful old photos from around the world, that I would never have seen if I had relied upon such websites to find my family.

I therefore offer these skills to you by way of my family finder service. I currently charge £85.00 for a days work (eight hours) this is rarely taken up over one day, but eight hours spread over a week or more.

Often I can get a lead & have to wait for someone to contact me, so trying to do it all in a day is rarely practical, so I quite literally use a stopwatch to stop & start my search for you until eight hours work has expired.

Please note that my family finder service is for what I call warm & fuzzy research, this is for such matters as;

FINDING LIVING RELATIVES FOR THOSE RESEARCHING THEIR FAMILY TREE (I will endeavour to find you someone, they might be quite far removed, i.e. a descendant of your Great Grandfather's brother for example) but a living relative nonetheless.

REUNITING LONG LOST BROTHERS, SISTERS, FATHERS, MOTHERS, SONS & DAUGHTERS

I DO NOT UNDERTAKE SEARCHES FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES

Those looking to serve papers or collect debts or settle old scores. Also I do not involve myself in cases of adoptions or those seeking sperm donors, this is a very sensitive area for which I do not feel I am qualified to deal with.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All my clients must accept that if I am successful in finding someone on their behalf, that the person who has been contacted by me has the right to refuse contact with my client.

People who have been contacted can for a number reasons be unwilling to communicate & their wishes must be adhered to, however you can rest assured that I will do my best to hook you up.

When contact is made & the contacted person is willing to receive contact from my client this is normally done either by me providing the contacted person with my clients details or I provide them with your details for them to make first contact.

All contacted people react differently & so I have found that giving them the choice makes for a better contact between you & them.

For those of you wanting to find living relatives for family tree purposes, if you're a member of Genes Reunited then having temporary access to your tree would help immensely. I will provide you with details of how to find me on Genes Reunited once you become my client.

In the case of those of you looking for long lost close family, I will need in depth information on the person you're seeking. This information would include such as where they were born, birth year, mother, father, brothers, sisters, where they grew up, schools & colleges attended, names of friends, places they used to hang out before you lost touch.

When you become my client I will request a comphrensive list in an e mail, remember the more I know the better the chances.

MISSION STATEMENT

It is my intention to trace either a select individual or family group on your behalf, if I cannot locate a particular individual or family group after eight hours research then I will supply you with any leads that I have established during that time.

As proof of my committment & determination, I will return £35.00 of my fee in the event  that I have been unable to at least supply you with any leads.

However please understand that this only applies in the case of not being able to locate someone or supply you with any leads, it does not apply when someone has been found but declines contact.

In the case of searching for an individual, if it transpires that the indivual in question is deceased the full fee will still apply.
