Cornwall certainly holds some mystical places, especially on Bodmin Moor. Here, a ghostly coach and horses can be heard approaching Dozmary Pool before plunging into it depths, and, at Jamaica Inn, a poltergeist seems to be at work in the staff quarters, switching lights on and off.
In addition, there are tales of the ghost of a child wearing a smock and looking sad near King Harry Ferry; a man dressed in black seen crossing the road between the rectory and the church at Phillack; and the ghost of a soldier wearing a red tunic and bandages around his head and legs on the site of an old First World War field hospital in Pendennis Castle.
