ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Peter Collison was a Lecturer in Sociology at Oxford, then Professor of Social Studies at University of Newcastle on Tyne where he is now Emeritus Professor. At various times, he has been Rockefeller Research Fellow at the University of Chicago, Dean of Social Sciences, Newcastle, and Chairman of Social Affairs, Economic and Social Research Council.
He lives in Northumberland.
