Steam Around Leeds is the story of steam railways around Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield, as well as the many branches in the area. The book also looks at private locomotive builders, such as Hunslet and Kitson’s and steam preservation – the Middleton Railway and Keighley and Worth Valley Railway were pioneers in this area.
Track plans, timetables, maps and locoshed allocations are included, together with shed details and indications of companies they served to build a comprehensive picture of the railway systems in the various major areas.
