This engaging fact book is a must have for any historian or indeed anyone with an interest in World War I. A World War I Fact Book offers us a glimpse of this devastating war through numbers.

William Van der Kloot’s concise and detailed look at World War I makes some of the most important and revealing numbers accessible, not as long columns of figures but in the format of well presented graphs, providing the reader with a visual representation of the battles and the number of soldiers involved on all sides.

This book provides a new and exciting look at the impact of World War I and examines a wide range of factual information from the economic developments that made this catastrophe possible, the major campaigns and victims, technological developments and the provisions of the peace treaties that made further conflict inevitable.
